The Tabcorp Warrnambool May Racing Carnival is the biggest country racing carnival in Australia. It plays host to three massive days of racing, including the internationally renowned Flying Horse Bar and Brewery Grand Annual Steeplechase. This is longest race in Australia being run over 5500m, and with 33 jumps, has the most obstacles of any race in the Southern Hemisphere.
Tuesday of the carnival sees the running of the $101,000 3YB Scotty Stewart Brierly Steeplechase, run over 3450m. It's also ladies day, with the popular Ladies Luncheon held on this day.
